Self-publishing for business owners
Your business has a book in it.
I help coaches, consultants and small business owners write and self-publish a 40,000 word book. The kind that does the talking for you, brings the right people to your door, and makes you the obvious person to call.

Sound familiar?
- You know a book would change how people see your business. You just don't know what yours would be about.
- You started writing, ran out of steam, and the document has been sitting there ever since.
- You've heard self-publishing is doable, but the process looks like a second job.

That's exactly where I come in.
Why 40,000 words?
Every book I work on is built around roughly 40,000 words. Long enough to say something worth saying. Short enough that people actually finish it. And small enough to keep your printing costs sensible while still doing everything you need it to do. A book isn't better for being longer. It's better for being read.
Three ways to work with me
How it works, and what you'll need
01
Find the book in your business.
We work out what you should actually write about: the thing that serves your readers and your business at the same time. Then we turn it into a chapter plan.

02
Write it.
With a structure, real deadlines, people to ask, and someone checking you're on track. In your words, not anyone else's.
You'll want The Book Lab
03
Publish it properly.
I'll walk you through editing, proofreading, cover design, formatting and publication, and point you to the specialists worth using.

Your book, in your words
I don't believe in using AI to write books.
It might help with planning or research, but the writing is yours. You're the only person who knows your business from the inside, and readers can tell the difference. Most people find that writing the book makes them clearer about what they're offering, which is worth as much as the book itself.
You've got other options
Do it yourself with a self-publishing platform.
Genuinely fine, if you know what you're writing and you're very self-motivated. If that's not you, the wheels tend to come off.
Hire a ghostwriter.
A real option if you're certain you're not a writer. Expect to pay £10,000 and up.
Google it.
Everything you need is out there. So is a lot of misinformation, and a lot of confidently wrong AI answers. It'll take you months, and nobody will tell you how you're doing.
Work with me.
Guidance, accountability, and access to specialists who've worked in the industry and can answer questions about your book. There are costs upfront, but you keep every penny your book earns.
Even a traditional publisher only pays you once they've earned their investment back, and they'll still expect you to do most of your own marketing.
Questions people always ask
It costs less than most people think and can be a very worthwhile investment in your business. You'll pay upfront for the things worth paying for — editing, proofreading, cover design, formatting — but you keep every penny your book earns afterwards. Part of what I do is help you spend that money well and avoid the expensive mistakes.
